The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) is an International, non-profit organization serving more than 2,400 members from more than 50 countries.

Our diverse membership ranges from hyperbaric, diving and wound care physicians, scientists, nurses, technicians, respiratory therapists and other allied healthcare professionals who work in the field of hyperbaric, wound care or diving medicine.

The UHMS is the primary source of information for hyperbaric, diving, wound care medicine and physiology worldwide. The Society was founded as the Undersea Medical Society in 1967 but in 1986 changed the name to Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. The name change reflected the rapidly growing interest in hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The UHMS' Mission is to:

  • improve the scientific basis of hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • provide scientific information to protect the health of sport, military, public safety, and commercial divers
  • promote sound treatment protocols and standards of practice
  • provide continuing education credits.

    Vendor opportunities are available at the following levels (all fees are annual)

    Diamond Vendor

    $5,000.00

    Any commercial entity that wishes to be listed on our website with premium exposure. This requires an annual fee and entitles you to a brief description of your organization, including a web link and an Advertising Banner to be displayed on the UHMS home page and Vendor page.

    Gold Vendor

    $3,500.00

    Any commercial entity that wishes to be listed on our website. This requires an annual fee and entitles you to a brief description of your organization, including a web link and an Advertising Banner to be displayed on the Vendor Page.

    Vendor

    $250.00

    Any commercial entity that wishes to be listed on our Vendor Page. This requires a small annual fee and entitles you to a brief description of your organization, including a web link.

    As a "Sponsor" you will not only be an integral part of the meetings, but you will gain significant promotion. These events provide an excellent opportunity for networking in a relaxed but professional setting. These sponsorship opportunities offer unmatched, excellent exposure to an audience of the industry professionals.

    • Meeting Satchel Sponsor:
      Distributed to every delegate upon registration, satchels are constantly used by delegates throughout the meeting to carry their notes and belongings and often retained as a memento after the event. Sponsorship of the satchels therefore offers excellent exposure, as the sponsor will be a constant presence for the duration of the event and beyond.

    Exhibiting at one or all of our meetings is an excellent opportunity for your organization to gain visibility, network, and to promote its products and services to a target audience of physicians, scientists, technicians, nurses and other allied healthcare professionals.

    • Annual Scientific Meeting: This meeting features a number of outstanding, widely recognized professional and international speakers who are experts in the fields of hyperbaric, diving and wound care medicine. Our meeting attracts researchers and practitioners from all around the world and provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and extend contacts.
      • Held in June of each year in various locations
      • 3 day meeting (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)
      • 3 exhibit breaks per day and 1 exhibitor wine & cheese reception with attendees
      • Average attendance 400
      • Booth & Tabletop package
    • Chapter Meetings: These meetings are regional meeting and feature a number of exceptional, recognized local professionals as speakers who are experts in the field of hyperbaric, diving and wound care medicine, most of whom are members of our Society.
      • Gulf Coast Chapter
        • Held in August of each year in various East-Gulf coast locations
        • 2-3 day meeting (Friday & Saturday – sometimes Thursday)
        • 3 exhibit breaks per day
        • Average attendance 75
        • Tabletop package
    • Midwest Chapter
      • Held in September of each year (except for 2016); rotating locations between: Chicago (Rosemont area), Milwaukee & St. Louis
      • 2 ½ day meeting (Friday, Saturday and half-day Sunday)
      • 3 exhibit breaks per day
      • Average attendance 60
      • Tabletop package
    • Northeast Chapter
      • Held in October of each year in various northeast area locations
      • 2 day meeting (split half-day Friday , full day Saturday, half-day Sunday)
      • 3 exhibit breaks per day
      • Average attendance 180

    • Pacific Chapter
      • Held in November each year (except for 2016) in various Pacific area locations
      • 2 day meeting (Friday and Saturday)
