Hyperbaric Medicine Skills and Emergency Management
NOVEMBER 17, 2017
Green Valley Ranch, Henderson, NV
**limited to MD/DO & NP/PA**
The full day skills pre-course is offered to the following provider types: MD/DO/PA/NP. The goal of the course is to introduce and reinforce critical care skills and emergency case management in hyperbaric medicine. You will engage in needle thoracostomy, tube thoracostomy, emergency myringotomy, intra-osseous and ultrasound-guided IV placement, and airway/ventilator management skills. Each of these will be demonstrated to you and will be immediately followed by a hands-on lab where our faculty will reinforce these skills in simulated case scenarios and discussion groups. These cases will engage you and also provide real-time peer review and feedback following each scenario.
The course is a requirement for our UHMS Program for Advanced Training in Hyperbarics (PATH) requirements.
