The following information is for UHMS meeting and course registrants and attendees
The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) is providing the following information about the status of UHMS live course programming as it relates to COVID-19. The UHMS is assessing potential risks to attendees of UHMS live programming on a real-time basis based on community outbreak levels and the CDC recommendations for community events, including meetings at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/mass-gatherings-ready-for-covid-19.html.
The UHMS position on the continuation, delay or cancelation of meetings and courses, will be commensurate with the published CDC level of community outbreak.

The continuing medical education mission of the Pacific Chapter of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society is to develop and promote programs that improve the scientific knowledge of physicians and other allied health professionals, in the Pacific Coast and Western regions of the United States and Canada, in matters related to undersea and hyperbaric environments and appropriate applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Taxicabs: The average taxi fare from the airport to downtown is approximately $35 before gratuity. Radio Cab offers a discount with coupons available on their website. The one-way trip takes 20-40 minutes. You can find taxis waiting in the center section of the airport terminal’s lower roadway outside the baggage claim; to get back to the airport from the city center, you can order a cab through the city’s main operators or from a hotel with a dedicated taxi stand.
Shuttles: When you leave the airport, you will find the shuttles at the bottom entrance of the terminal (outside the baggage claim area) on the other side of the second strip (“Island 2”) near the parking garage. Many airport hotels offer free services.

CHAPTER CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: $50 administrative fee will be held on all cancellations three (3) months prior to start of meeting date. 50% of fees will be held on all cancellations one (1) month to two weeks prior to start of meeting date.
