Licenses & Certifications
Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification issued by the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT), and
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
High School Graduate.
Required Functional Experience
Typically requires 2 years of experience in a hyperbaric technician role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Completion of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society approved Hyperbaric Safety Director Course (site specific - requirement: 1 per site).Advanced knowledge of hyperbaric procedures.Advanced knowledge of hyperbaric chambers and ancillary equipment and ability to problem solve and trouble shoot equipment repairs.Advanced knowledge in Transcutaneous Oximetry Non Invasive Testing.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
