Nurse Manager, Emory Wound & Hyperbaric Center

Description

Emory University Hospital Midtown is looking for a Nurse Manager for the Emory Wound & Hyperbaric Center for full-time immediate work.


Job Description: Provides staff leadership for day-to-day unit operations such as staffing, scheduling, budget planning and cost containment activities. Acts as a liaison in interdepartmental and intradepartmental activities. Ensures that Wound Care staff and Hyperbaric staff understands policies and regulations relative to organizational and regulatory agency requirements. Formulates and implements Wound Care and Hyperbaric policies. Demonstrates expertise and leadership in the role components of Manager, Teacher, Practitioner, and Researcher with emphasis on mastery of management skills. Supports the achievement of financial goals by ensuring appropriate documentation of care by WOC nurses.


Supports the strategic planning and marketing efforts for the Emory Wound & Hyperbaric Center. Oversees provision of care and ensures resources necessary to provide that care are available. Direct patient care as well as development of protocols for Wound and Hyperbaric patient care, ensuring standards of care are met and that current practices are implemented. Addresses all patient complaints as well as complaints or issues with all stakeholders & vendors, outside institutions, internal departments, risk management, etc.


Minimum Qualifications: A baccalaureate degree in Nursing with five years clinical experience as a wound care clinician. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Must have a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program preferred. BLS required. Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN) preferred.
