We are seeking a highly qualified Safety Director to oversee our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with NFPA 99 standards and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) guidelines while maintaining the highest level of patient and staff safety in our hyperbaric operations.

• Oversee the daily safety operations of hyperbaric chambers and related equipment
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety protocols in accordance with NFPA 99 and UHMS guidelines
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of hyperbaric facilities
• Lead safety training programs for clinical and technical staff
• Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety procedures, maintenance records, and incident reports
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient safety during treatment
• Stay current with evolving industry standards and best practices

• Minimum 5 years of experience in hyperbaric medicine or related field
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA 99 Chapter 14 (Hyperbaric Facilities) requirements
• Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification through the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology
• Thorough understanding of UHMS safety guidelines and accreditation requirements
• Experience with fire safety protocols specific to oxygen-enriched environments
• Working knowledge of hyperbaric chamber operations, maintenance, and emergency procedures
• Strong background in healthcare safety management and regulatory compliance

• Advanced certification in hyperbaric safety management
• UHMS facility accreditation experience
• Healthcare safety management certification
• Experience with both monoplace and multiplace chambers
• Background in critical care, emergency medicine, or wound care
• Familiarity with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards related to hyperbaric facilities

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, safety management, biomedical engineering, or related field
• Advanced degree or certification in healthcare safety preferred
