Testimonials

  • "Our multiplace program at Mayo Clinic Rochester began clinical operations in 2008 and has grown into a very busy practice severing a large number of patients with a wide range of indications include complex hospitalized cases. We wanted to establish a practice that followed the principles of evidence based medicine and maintained the highest levels of patient and staff safety. We turned to the UHMS published guidelines and accreditation standards to design our program’s staffing, policies and procedures with a goal of becoming accredited by the UHMS within 2 years of practice.

"We have now been successfully surveyed twice, once in 2010 and most recently in 2013. Each time the exercise has been extremely valuable with the surveyor’s observations and recommendations challenging us to not only maintain but to constantly improve our practice. I strongly recommend that every hyperbaric practice strive to meet or exceed these standards and demonstrate that commitment by seeking formal UHMS accreditation."
